Presales Specialist SAP Cloud Platform (SAP Business Technology Platform)
The Presales Specialist identifies, understands, and defines customer needs in order to develop and maintain standard product demonstrations and materials to close business and increase revenue. Provides additional support to account executives and conducts demonstrations for strategic purposes, including tradeshows and marketing events. The Presales Specialist is considered one of the most knowledgeable Presales persons on a given solution in the Business unit they support.
As an SAP Cloud Platform Presales Specialist,
This is a customer-facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of the SAP Cloud Platform.
Present in detail the SAP Cloud Platform offerings and value proposition to customers (usually to CIOs, IT managers, LoB managers, and SAP Technology staff) and partners (usually developers and integration specialists, and/or SAP cloud solution resellers)
Demonstrate the capabilities of SAP Cloud Platform
Work closely with the SAP Customer Solution Managers and Presales Specialists to Architect the solutions for the business problem using SAP Cloud Platform
Blueprint customer requirements around integration, process extension, UX enhancement, etc.
Support and organize technical responses to RFP / RFIs
Lead and orchestrate successful delivery of Proof of Concepts
Support the Sales team to provide ongoing deal support to sales and partner teams.
Own the technical discussions with the customer on the SAP Cloud Platformtopic and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from SAP Cloud Platformorganization as required.
Ability to effectively present to customers & partner for delivering technical academy, enablement session On-site / remote
Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies
High proficiency in customer communications, presentations, and demonstrations are required.
Good experience in development, preferably Java, J2EE, HTML5, etc.
Experience in and/or willingness to supporting Platform As A Service (PaaS) business development & deal support.
In-depth knowledge of the Open Sources.
Exposure to architecting customer solutions preferably in developing new business requirements and integrating multiple APIs using PaaS offerings is desirable.
Good exposure to SAP Business Suite Applications or Cloud Applications.
Exposure to NetWeaver / ABAP is good.
Strong problem-solving skills and able to de-escalate problematic situations.
Good understanding of the Cloud and PaaS market.
Proactive and good energy to develop a new market.
Bachelors / Masters degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
Native in Korean and fluency in English is a MUST, any other language an asset
(Additional Skills) Basic knowledge of hyperscale ecosystems including MS Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform
5 years of hands-on customer-facing Technology Consulting and/or Presales experience (eg. PaaS, Big Data, Integration, Software Development, etc.)
Experience with other PaaS services is a BIG advantage; SAP-specific skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.
Experience working for an enterprise software and/or services vendor necessary
