The IT Product Owner is focused on delivering a great user experience to drive operational efficiency and support business growth through product management. This role handles multiple product delivery and management activities that include managing the software development backlog, prioritizing tasks with stakeholders, and managing cross-team changes. The role is responsible for expressing the product backlog items clearly, prioritizing user stories, and providing feedback on team progress toward objectives. The role serves as a primary leader for the Agile Team and is accountable for the success of the product, ensuring it meets customer needs and supports business goals. The role also works with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure an understanding of product functionality for IT products and demonstrate progress in business areas ahead of the releases. Leads agile IT product delivery processes, defining product scope and vision, overseeing story card creation and refinement, validating acceptance criteria, gaining stakeholder buy-in, and continuously refining the team backlog for strategic capabilities in support of business roadmaps. Delivers business value from the development and execution of Westfield's strategic capability roadmaps, ensures strategic capability and user experiences meet customer needs, and establishes baseline customer experience metrics. Utilizes internal and external user experience and design resources to continually improve the user experience for the IT products. Acts as a lead business representative, establishing user story priorities, working with the Scrum Master to resolve issues, and partnering with stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure alignment in IT product delivery. Uses a metrics-based approach and user scorecard to meet/establish stretch goals for adoption and reporting monthly on progress. Partners with colleagues responsible for employees to drive adoption proactively and strategically. Engages internal audiences, and current customer partners, to enable adoption of the strategic capabilities, and helps to lead a strong change management effort to drive usage. Partners with external vendors for delivery of services, ensuring core Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are established and adhered to deliver an exceptional experience for customers. Adopts a design-thinking approach to IT product development, serves as a guardian for the product's vision and brand identity, and evaluates situations from all angles. Serves as a guardian and champion for the IT product's vision and brand identity. Monitors removing roadblocks, constantly communicating, and gaining alignment on IT product investments and strategy with senior stakeholders and business partners. Manages and monitors the value of team delivery and IT product metrics and socializes the delivery of business values or outcomes. Leads business requirements appropriate to the technical process used for system development and changes and acts as a trusted delivery partner with leaders across prudential, providing agile leadership. Markets velocity, security, and stability to products/applications developed by product development teams and works with the scrum master, solution engineers, and test engineers to plan sprints. Identifies opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience with Westfield's IT products, including digital capabilities, self-service options, and customer communication channels, and collaborates with IT and digital teams to implement customer-centric initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and retention. 4+ years of experience in IT Product Management or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and/or commensurate experience.
