Position Summary

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our global Digital Legal Team to support our expanding legal and sales teams. We are a results-oriented legal team keen to learn and contribute to the business. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and changing environment and are highly organized, detail-oriented (while still able to see the big picture), anticipate challenges, and enjoy working on efficiency and scalability initiatives, then this position is for you!

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business and within legal to prepare responses to bids and review, redline and negotiate a broad range of technology agreements including, software, -aaS, support, professional services, and hardware agreements, balancing business objectives with Entrust’s risk profile.

  • Provide timely responses to internal stakeholders on legal requests (e.g., contract-related questions) and recommend solutions in a professional manner.

  • Input, manage, and track the contract process from the point of initial request through execution, including negotiation records.

  • Contribute to the ongoing design and implementation of templates, playbooks, contract management tools and other efficiency mechanisms to streamline negotiations and contract/legal processes.

  • Support other day-to-day legal operations.

Basic Qualifications

7+ years’ contract management experience, preferably in the technology industry.

Degree from a US or Canadian university or college with strong academic credentials (JD, LLB degree welcome but not required).

Experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated commercial technology contracts within a fast-paced in-house legal department.

Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a diverse global team environment.

  • Familiarity reviewing and negotiating U.S. and Canadian Federal and state/provincial & local government contracts.

  • Experience negotiating contracts with financial institutions, health care and large enterprise customers is a major asset.

  • Experience working with contract lifecycle management software (ideally, Conga).

  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment.
