Ford Motor Company Export Data & Compliance Engineer in Shanghai, China

This position will support connected vehicle data products (Fixed and agile) delivery for China export programs in coordinating operation requirements. Run data operation and service desk for export markets in support of program launch quality, early detective and deep dive for engeering issues and find root cause rapidly with connected vehicle date, feature usage and publication of general design data. Ensure full compliance in each export market in data product design and operation.

  • Support export vehicle quality issues especially for pre-sale vehicles of global market.

  • Detect quality issues as early as possible for export vehicles and try to general engineering issues into detailed data analysis descriptions with clear measurement.

  • Extract insights from large and complex data sets related to connected vehicle performance (IVI/TCU/AVD etc.) to improve vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including both local and global to support vehicle launch quality initiatives as quickly as possible.

  • Quickly response for urgent or emergency export vehicle launch quality issues.

  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations that convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of connected vehicle technology and data analysis best practices.

  • Ensure global data integrity and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

  • Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or related Automotive Engineering field at least 3 year experience

  • Basic automotive engineering knowledge and engieering sense

  • Proficient knowledge and experience with one of popular data science programming languages, such as Python, R, Spark, MATLAB, SQL, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with large-scale data and delivering actionable insights.

  • Familiar with basic modelling methodologies like Linear/ Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting Machines etc.

  • Familier with with cloud-based data analytics platforms like databricks or GCP is prefer.

  • Experience with one of data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Power BI etc.

  • Know about global data compliance governance and regulations.

  • Ability to manage and lead export program on connectivity data analytics independently.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to support export vehicle launch quality monitor.

  • Intellectually curious, innovative thinking, and positive attitude

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and ability to work under aggressive workloads

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to challenges.

  • Self-starter, fast learning, independent, and detail-oriented

  • Be flexible with working hours including meeting at night due to Ford’s global footprints.
