SIMEA Sibiu carries out production activities of electronic equipment and systems, of low to medium complexity and with an increased manual processing part. The company is involved in the generation of innovative solutions in the field of design and manufacturing of electronic products, support services within its strong competencies: product development (PLM), logistics and production.

In order to grow our Supplier Quality team we are looking for a

Supplier Quality Engineer

Your role – Challenging and future oriented:

  • Ensures and improves the quality of supplied products and services in the assigned area of dedicated business.

  • Implements SQM requirements regarding specification, supplier, product/service selection and qualification according to cross-functional aligned material and supplier strategy.

  • Acts as SQM contact person in cross-functional teams and towards supplier.

  • Implements the agreed commodity and SQM strategy (including value, digitalization and collaboration)

  • Drives supplier performance and continuous improvement and collaborates in supplier development programs.

  • Creates and negotiates General Quality and Quality Assurance agreements and monitors supplier contract coverage rate.

  • Applies preventive quality methods aimed at risk minimization.

  • Designs, maintains and improves specific quality requirements, specifications and concepts based on supplier and product/service risk assessment .

  • Supports standardized supplier qualification process according to the corporate guidelines (ready for business).

  • Coordinates product/service qualifications and approvals based on specific requirements/specification (ready to order).

  • Is actively involved in projects to support/review specifications & requirements.

  • Implements complaints managements to detect and analyze non-conformances, verifies root cause analysis and communicates with supplier. Supports sustainable problem solving.

  • Plans and executes supplier audits including follow-up of audit measures.

  • Continuously improves internal SQM processes (innovation, digitalization , LEAN)

  • In case of faulty purchased parts, you will initiate complaints processing with the internal interfaces, take over communication with the supplier and support the purchase department in charging on additional costs.

Your qualifications – well-founded and adequate

  • The basis for your success is a completed degree in engineering or a master's degree in a technical discipline, for example mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable one.

  • During your 2-3 years of professional experience, you have acquired knowledge of quality management and basic knowledge of the SCM process.

  • You have good knowledge of quality methods of risk analysis as well as problem management (including 8D, Ishikawa, etc.).

  • You have a technical understanding and experience in recognizing and realizing potential for improvement (quality, costs and logistics)

  • Experienced handling of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or Teamcenter.

  • Very good knowledge of Romanian and English.
