About the position:

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support , Site supervision to the Project Management team.

  • Reports to the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager on daily site matters, progress, issues, and others

  • Assists Project Manager in the co-ordination of project management activities to ensure that projects are executed in a smooth and effective manner

  • Monitor site progress and able to provide mitigation measures to delays on site

  • Provide full time attendance at various project site around Singapore and act as standing supervision during the works.

  • Coordinate with various contractors, sub-contractors, building facilities management, and other stakeholders to ensure continued site operations

  • Co-ordinates daily activities of workers’ duties and to ensure that they are performed in a proper manner

  • Makes daily checks on work progress, housekeeping and safety implementation on site with safety personnel

  • Prepare site documentation including method statements, permit to work forms, risk assessments, project schedules, meeting minutes, safe work procedures, site utilization plan and other documents required by the PM

  • Attendance at daily toolbox meeting and site meetings

  • Able to read drawings, technical specifications, code of practices, QA/QC procedures, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or relevant

  • M&E background preferred with experience in the built environment

  • Construction/Project/Real Estate background

  • Minimum of one year(s) of related experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.

  • Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.

  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

  • Intermediate skills with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Proven organizational skills.

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks as assigned.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

  • Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor
