JOB DESCRIPTION

The intern will be a part of Marriott International’s APEC Media team based in the Singapore office. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting all areas of Marriott Bonvoy’s social media projects and any other media/advertising related tasks. They will also be supporting Marriott Bonvoy’s social media efforts on key platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Naver, Kakao and Line.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This intern will assist in providing operational support and the key responsibilities include:

  • Support the social media team on new and on-going projects which span across content ideation, content creation, social media strategy, reporting and analysis, KOL partnerships and paid social efforts

  • Collaborate with social media agency to build monthly social media calendars, support content creation and animation

  • Partner with media agency to amplify organic social media content and support paid social campaigns

  • Coordinate social media project work with other teams across the business e.g., Brand, Loyalty & Partnerships, PR, F&B and Area teams

  • Provide operational support on social media tasks e.g., providing support on social media queries from internal stakeholders, organizing and upkeep of project trackers and assisting with community management

  • Assist with Social Media Management tool’s (Sprinklr) deployment, training, platform requests and set-up of dashboards

  • Support the extended media team in tasks and projects as required

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Is a proactive and creative individual and has a keen passion for social media

  • Has a good understanding of the social media platforms and usage trends across the region e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok

  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively in a collaborative work environment, especially in a multicultural team, and with all departments – both above property and at the hotels.

  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills

  • Result-oriented, detail-oriented, deadline-sensitive, and able to multitask

  • PC skills- MS Office programs (Good understanding and knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Basic knowledge of Word and PowerPoint)

QUALIFICATION STANDARD

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or hospitality management preferred

Requirements

Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday pass

Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.

Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
