Labcorp Laboratory Supervisor - Immunology in Singapore, Singapore

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Immunology bench.

  • Ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results are reported in a timely manner.

  • Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department.

  • Monitor daily workflow in the lab and schedule adequate staffing coverage.

  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, and performing the performance evaluation for staff.

  • Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary.

  • Lead cross-site harmonization efforts.

  • Engage in continuous process and service level improvements.

  • Ensure all equipment is being properly maintained through Quality Control.

  • Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents.

  • Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development.

  • Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations.

  • Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures.

  • Perform administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science or biological science

  • Minimum 6 years of laboratory experience plus 4 years supervisory or management experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

  • Candidate with strong immunoassay and clinical chemistry experience is a plus.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced lab-environment.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of CAP, ISO15189 accreditation and HCSA regulations.

  • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

  • Proven ability to problem solve/troubleshoot and provide solutions under minimal supervision

  • High level of attention to detail with strong organization skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable making decisions in a changing environment.

  • Work shift: Monday – Friday/Tuesday - Saturday.
