Nestle Supply Chain Optimization Consultant in Solon, Ohio

POSITION SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Excellence Business Optimization Consultant is responsible for developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives, deploying problem solving techniques, and leading process optimization initiatives in the end to end Supply Chain.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

o Coordinate and lead key projects for sustained improvement and eliminate waste across the end to end Supply Chain.

o Contribute to building an on-going pipeline of end to end improvement ideas and opportunities.

o Identify complex problems and implement solutions using advanced problem-solving techniques.

  • End to End Process Optimization:

o Lead efforts for ongoing optimization of process, tools and structure of the end to end Supply Chain functions.

o Facilitate process flow mapping events to trigger opportunities for improvement and changes in the end to end supply chain.

o Drive activities and actions to support sustainable improvement implementation.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or related field.

  • Continuous improvement experience demonstrating business acumen, leadership, and ability to drive results.

  • Demonstrated ability to overcome obstacles in executing complex, multifunctional prioritized projects.

  • Experience leading several cross-functional teams to drive performance improvement or change management initiatives.

  • Proficiency in CI, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies with application in both operations and transactional environments in a variety of situations.

  • Experience leveraging change management techniques.

  • Self-Motivator who can work towards resolution of problems.

  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with SAP and BW desired.

  • Availability for travel and work beyond the regular scheduled hours.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details.

  • Ability to think creatively and analytically

  • Well-organized, methodical thinker with excellent decision-making skills.

  • Manages time well. Works well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong skills in working through ambiguity and developing recommendations on path forward.

  • Must be able to work independently and to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Coaching/mentoring skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and other Lean mapping tools.
