The Role: WORKSHOP TECHNICIANis responsible for assembling/disassembling and testing of industrial pumps according to a weekly plan. If you like working in a safe and friendly environment and have a mechanical aptitude this may be the place for you. Pumps range in size from a small 5 pound coffee can size all the way to a large engine block size. Disassemble, clean, assemble and test mechanical and electromechanicalparts and modules to company's quality standards and production schedule. Able to follow standard operating procedures via computer instructions on how to disassemble and reassemble. Ensure achievement of production targets on productivity, volume and efficiency. Reduce rejects and ensure quick turnaround through effective liaison with other departments and stores. Participate in continuous improvement of workshop targets on quality, productivity and efficiency. Ensure that the appropriate standards of behavior, performance and safety are maintained within the workshop. Ensure that the company's health and Safety policy is adhered to with the aim being to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure that the workshop is clean, safe and managed daily to maintain safety. Interact with team leader and other departments where necessary to ensure the above duties are achieved. What we expect of you: Repair all products and accessories according to company's specifications. Observes established quality and safety standards. Understands the preventative maintenance and operation of production equipment. Knowledgeable inmechanical equipment used in pumping or vacuum or abatement applications. Able to disassemble and assemble mechanical equipment into components, identify damages/faults, assemble components and test equipment performance. Must be PC literate and be able to use windows driven software. Minimum one year experience in repairing any type of mechanical systems. Must have a mechanical aptitude.
