Job Summary:** The Skilled CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce parts.
• Program CNC machines or input instructions manually as needed.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to prevent downtime.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Document work processes and complete production reports as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required (up to [insert weight] pounds).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
