ManTech Sr. Network Engineer in South Burlington, Vermont

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Network Engineer in South Burlington, VT; Camp Springs, MD; or in a location to be determined upon offer acceptance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Reduce cycle times to stand up new systems and remove manual tasks through automation scripts and machine learning.

  • Use techniques such as virtualization, automation, orchestration, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and templates to automate routine, repetitive network changes.

  • Deliver continuous, integrated automation and orchestration to support and enhance network stability.

  • Use DevSecOps principles using similar tools, methods, and techniques to create an Agile approach that is scalable and delivers network infrastructure efficiently and rapidly. Incorporate pipeline templates to orchestrate environments, deliver code repository, build, supply chain management, code analysis and testing, security, and deployments

  • Automation of new site deployments via orchestration.

  • Development of tools to instrument internal support and operational processes.

  • Increase infrastructure and software delivery speed to customers.

  • Achieve compliance in a faster, easier, and less expensive manner.

  • Compliance checking and reporting of template baselines.

  • Forced configuration through compliance remediation.

  • Dashboard creation for visibility into the USCIS WAN, LAN, Security, Wireless, UC, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, Server Platforms, and alike.

  • Implement automation procedures for firewall ports, protocols, requests, and changes for record keeping, to aid users, administrators, and security.

  • Develop an intuitive policy-based routing solution using automation and orchestration.

  • Design and implement the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline throughout USCIS-controlled on premise locations.

  • Utilize USCIS ticket and incident management system for automated delivery.

  • Streamline internal solution processes and remove repetitive tasks by automating and orchestrating techniques to reduce resource constraints and remove human error.

  • Create a comprehensive backlog of tasks and optimum support for the network’s end users. orchestrate solutions requiring minimal human interaction.

  • Use Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence and MS Teams to provide transparency and allow information to be visible in real time and to create a unified backlog ensuring visibility into all areas of work and identifying inter-dependencies between teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience.

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, collaborative environment.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills required.

  • Must have strong critical thinking, complex problem solving, appropriate judgment, and decision-making skills

  • Experience with major cloud providers preferred.

  • Possess superior technical aptitude and effective written and verbal communications skills.

  • Experience supporting Information Technology (IT) projects

  • Experience with MS Office Suite, JIRA and Confluence

  • Familiarity with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with tools including: ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira, Confluence

  • Experience with ITIL, DevSecOps and Agile concepts

  • Experience supporting Government contracts

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Certification:

  • None

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain Public Trust and complete DHS Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability

  • Current DHS EOD highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office.

The projected compensation range for this position is $127,000-$211,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
