Key Responsibilities:

  • Combine Information Technology expertise with clinical development and pharmaceutical R&D knowledge to help transform the way information and technology accelerate drug development, both with new therapeutic and operational modalities.

  • Collaborate with clinical research scientists in therapy areas on one hand, and IT solution services on the other, this role bridges the strategy gap between business leaders and technology solution providers in understanding business requirements, identifying technology options, establishing an overarching innovative technology strategy, and devising innovative technology solutions to evolving business challenges.

  • The IT Lead reports to the Senior Manager, Clinical Advanced Therapies, in R&D Business Technology (BT). They will connect with internal business partners and external experts to craft the demand, design solutions, and resolve how to best support the business with most appropriate use of skills, tools, capabilities, and technology as part of High Performing Team (HPT)

  • The position will also lead business analysis activities and business risk assessments for newly identified technology opportunities.

  • The position holder will partner effectively with the broader J&J Technology organization, including Enterprise Product lines, Global Technology Services, and enterprise and solutions architects, contributing to solution design, effective integration, and quality service delivery of IT capabilities.

  • Responsible for product support focused on product backlog management, sprint planning, testing oversight meeting the objectives for the squad as Squad Technology Owner.


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master's degree preferred

  • 3 years of proven experience in an IT role supporting drug development

  • An understanding of clinical research business process foundations, and a demonstrated capability to apply technology solutions in addressing business issues is required.

  • Experience and operational understanding of SalesForce.com, MuleSoft API, AWS Lambda Services and it’s product offerings and capabilities as well as other commercial effectiveness platforms and architecture principles.

  • Experience in running delivery of Agile projects with global teams.

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.

  • Good foundation in methodologies for system design, development, and implementation

  • The ability to work with different functional teams with multidisciplinary backgrounds is required.

  • 10% travel (domestic & international) is required.

Expected Salary $90,000 - $144,900
