Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Medical Assistant in the Carlson Recovery Center program at Behavioral Health Network! Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Carlson Recovery Center program with the following: Collaborating with the nursing team and medical providers in coordinating care for individuals served. Measuring and recording vital signs and assessing individuals prior to their medical appointments, as needed. Evaluating and responding to changes in individuals\' condition, including laboratory reports and reports findings. Preparing MassPat (PMP) for provider review. Overseeing the reconciliation, refilling, and coordination of medication needs. Performing required drug testing per regulations. Completing paperwork related to service in a quality and timely manner. Who are we? The Carlson Recovery Center in Springfield, MA is a 36-bed Acute Treatment Services program that serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction and are at the beginning stages of their recovery. A 24-hour multidisciplinary team provides acute treatment and detoxification services. High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required). Medical Assistant Certificate or Degree (required). At least one year of experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (required). Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards (required). Excellent organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Internet, word processing and email systems (required). Willingness and ability to work with challenging and diverse individual populations. Cultural competence in dealing with individuals with a variety of different cultural backgrounds.
