QPS Employment Group Quality Control Technician in Springfield, Missouri

Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-11pm

QPS is hiring for a Quality Control Technician in Springfield, MO. This is an associate to hire role.

Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Assist in developing, managing, and maintaining the companys quality management systems - Communicate and train companys employees on the established guidelines, work instructions, procedures and policies related to adherence to quality system guidelines - Assist with companys compliance efforts with USDA and FDA, Organic, Non-GMO, Gluten Free Certified and SQF guidelines - Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed - Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job - Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly - Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance

Quality Control Technician Requirements: - 1-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Stand for extended periods of time (up to entire shift) - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods - Basic personal computer skills, including electronic mail, Word, Excel, etc. - Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems - Understand and can use basic mathematics - Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents - Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems
