Continental Construction and Engineering Electrician in St Croix, Virgin Islands

Job Summary: The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings, private residence, new and existing constructions. RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES: Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical/communications systems, equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, building automation systems, light timing systems, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or self-generated work plans. Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment Using a variety of electricians hand and power tools and measuring and testing instruments. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: HS diploma or GED Preferably 3+ years electrician experience in the construction industry. Ability to read, write and speak English to be able to understand verbal and written instructions. Possess hazard awareness necessary to operate safely within the construction environment.
