Summary:

Serves as a member of the Cardiology Team, engaged in the conduct and performance of Cardiac Ultrasound / Doppler diagnostic testing. This team member is required to assist the physician and other related healthcare professionals in these technical areas and is responsible for all aspects of clinical support. Functions independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Required - Technical - Sonography/Echocardiography/Cardiovascular Technology; Preferred - Associates - Science

Credentials:

• Basic Life Support certification (from Red Cross, American Heart Association or Military)

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) Certification

Experience:

* Minimum 2 Years of post-graduate Echocardiology experience

Minimum Pool Commitment:

* 4 shifts a month (including 2 weekend shifts)

* 1 day on-call per month

* 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday shift
