Accenture Custom Software Engineering Manager in St. Louis, Missouri

Custom Software Engineering Manager (Accenture LLP; St. Louis, MO): Accenture LLP has multiple openings for the position of Custom Software Engineering Manager in St. Louis, MO, and the job duties are as follows:

  • Design, develop and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications.

  • Create implementation or integration approach for applications and components.

  • Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications.

  • Architect development strategy for applications and components.

  • Coordinate development streams in line with overall program(s) timing and milestones.

  • Build deployment plan, including the development plan and schedule, keeping in line with overall project timeline.

  • Design, build, assemble, and configure application or technical architecture components using business requirements.

  • Team with stakeholders on application and component design to secure buy in.

  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the IT consulting industry.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Application modernization of legacy business systems to gain operational efficiencies, address technology constraints, and support adoption of newer technologies;

  • Software application design and development including Java, Oracle databases, SQL, and implementation of business processes;

  • Design and develop application framework to establish foundation and standards for code migration and development of enhancements;

  • Fixing defects in COTS (custom off the shelf) product code;

  • Software packaging and deployment; and

  • All stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements elicitation, design, build, deployment, and testing.

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Leading a team of designers, developers, and testers in handling end-to-end application delivery; and

  • Project managing, handling project risks and issues, and providing project status to the client and internal stakeholders.

Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.
