Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Health Unit Coordinator to join our Neuroscience team! Position Summary: The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting. This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services. The Health Unit Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service. Department Summary: Neuroscience (7W) is a 28-bed neuroscience unit. We primarily care for strokes, seizures, and neurosurgery patients. This unit has hardwired telemetry. We are typically caring for patients in their post-acute phase. Safe, patient-centered care is the highest priority on 7W. Candidate should possess good critical thinking, and multitasking and prioritization skills. Candidate must have a clean work record with no "written warnings" within the last 6 months. Work Schedule: .5 FTE - Evening shift with every other weekend (8 hr. shifts) Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma preferred. Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred. Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.
