Job Description:

Job Summary

The HANA/Business Warehouse Developer II supports the Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy through the design, delivery and maintenance of data solutions at Patterson Companies. This includes collecting and connecting data for the enterprise using SAP HANA and Business Warehouse standards and processes, as well as occasionally using other tools and technologies as needed to meet the business need. This position is highly collaborative, working across other Data & Analytics team members, other technology teams and closely with business partners.

  • Enable business partners to effectively leverage data to find new revenue opportunities and/or drive business efficiencies

  • Design, build, validate, implement and maintain SAP Business Warehouse, HANA, and Data Services solutions based on business needs

  • Implement data integration efforts for SAP (ECC, CRM, EWM, Vistex w/ BW and HANA) and non-SAP sources

  • Document design or build as needed to communicate effectively with business and technical partners to deliver effective solutions

  • Make recommendations on updating jobs, performance tuning, optimization, establishing metrics and IS initiatives with impact on data

  • Collaborate with other Data and Analytics team members in assessing business needs and reporting and analytics opportunities

  • Collaborate with business users and other IT team members to understand business process and data opportunities

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience with data warehouse development, and/or database administration

  • Experience with SAP HANA and SAP Business Warehouse (BW)

  • Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications that explain technical concepts to non-technical partners and vice versa

  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning new processes and technologies

  • Familiarity with Microsoft products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (ex: BusinessObjects, PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy)

  • Experience with SAP Fiori Working Conditions

Physical Demands

  • Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday

  • May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment

  • Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. 

  • Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors

  • Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents

Environmental Factors

This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.

$74,200.00 - $93,600.00
