Genesis10 DevSecOps Engineer in St. Paul, Minnesota

Genesis10 is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for a contract with our client in St. Paul, MN. 100% Remote. Job Description: Project/Focus: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Automation and DevSecOps Engineer Key Responsibilities: 3-5 years' experience and proficiency in the following areas: Azure Cloud Services: Proficiency in deploying, configuring, and managing Azure services (e.g., Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service). Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services or Azure Pipelines. Knowledge of version control systems like Git for source code management. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure Bicep. Containerization and Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for container orchestration on Container apps. Monitoring and Logging: Implementing monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and integrating with logging tools like Azure Log Analytics. Security and Compliance: Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, and implementing security best practices for Azure resources. Experience in managing identity and access management (IAM) using Azure Active Directory. Networking: Understanding of Azure networking components (e.g., Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, VPN Gateways) and configuring network connectivity for applications. Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, for automation tasks within Azure. Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance of Azure resources and applications. Familiarity with Azure Monitor and other Azure performance monitoring tools. Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and stakeholders. Experience working in Agile methodologies and participating in sprint planning and retrospectives. DevOps Practices: Understanding of DevOps culture and practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous improvement. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in complex Azure environments.
