Emerson Product Configuration Specialist in Stafford, Texas

If you are a Product Configuration Specialist in Stafford, TX, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! In this role, you will develop and maintain variant configurator content for use by all global sales offices and intercompany to enable efficient order entry. Judgment in this position is essential. This position assures that all customer order requirements are met in relationship to product configuration rules established by Engineering and Manufacturing.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Responsible for setting product configuration project priorities, including project schedules and task assignment for remote resources in order to meet strict order completion deadlines.

  • Maintenance of product data in SAP from: FS, FS Option numbers, Product/Special Service, developing configuration rules and relationships to pricing, sizing and drawing information.

  • Handle all updates and configurator improvement projects for assigned products.

  • Handle the configurable products in an electronic environment for the selling process.

  • Log and track configurator changes in order to validate and communicate prospective changes to user community.

  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Application Engineering, Engineering and Operations on resolution of technical requirements and system issues.

  • Provide training and support for Product Configuration to other members of the team.

  • Serve as the primary resource for Sales, Product Managers, Order Detailers and others for technical guidance.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering or Management Information Systems or high school diploma and 3-5 years minimum relevant work experience in flow control/valve industry

  • Validated problem solving ability

  • Strong mechanical proficiency with knowledge of the basic physical properties of materials

  • Sophisticated product knowledge and inter-product rules relationship

  • Ability to interpret & identify missing engineering detail structure and drawings

  • Ability to analyze large data systems

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • SAP Configurator experience

  • Microsoft Power Suite
