Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, LLC Shift Manager Maintenance in Steelton, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R8328 Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Shift Manager in the maintenance department at our Harrisburg, PA area operation. As a shift manager, you can expect to see your work everywhere; the employees you work with every day help to make the steel that is used in building nations.

In addition to working to support the operating departments, team members may also include safety, quality, and maintenance representatives. You will be able to work independently or with teams to develop improvements and creative solutions while looking for opportunities to develop further in your career. Safety and quality are always the first priorities in Cleveland-Cliffs.

Summary of Responsibilities Lead mechanical and electrical technicians in reaching safety, delay, preventive, and predictive maintenance goals & targets. Demonstrate technical knowledge, skills, and abilities in the maintenance of industrial machinery. Perform administrative activities such as scheduling crews, completing reports, conducting safety meetings, and compiling other reports as necessary. Manage division compliance with Company policies and procedures. Promote continuous improvement and standardization of maintenance program procedures, Job Safety Analysis, and Standard Operating Procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 3 to 5 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing facility. Industrial/manufacturing mechanical & electrical maintenance experience is required. Experience in Computer Numeric Control (CNC) equipment; Lathes and milling machines, and hydraulic presses. Experience in dissembling and assembling large Industrial equipment. Knowledge of AC/DC motor control, drive packages, and PLCs. Understanding of machine shop mathematics. Ability to interpret mechanical and machine shop drawings. Experience with using machine shop measuring tools, micrometers, dial calipers, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint. Good troubleshooting, and team-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in a union environment is preferred.
