Early Childhood Teacher-

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to the following:

The Early Childhood Teachers will plan and implement the curriculum and assess the needs of children in their care throughout the day. Plan, supervise and implement program policies and procedures according to the mission and philosophy of the center. Meet the needs of individual children according to their interests, abilities and personalities. Responsibility for the organized arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom assigned to. Assume an equal share of housekeeping duties between ALL staff. Show competence in caring for and educating children and will have the ability to communicate effectively, briefly, in an anecdotal manner with parents and coworkers. Understand that assistant teachers, volunteers, students and parents are not to be left alone with children, unless licensing states otherwise in specific circumstances. Demonstrate leadership qualities and create a team-like working environment, leading by example. Follow confidentiality agreements in all aspects of the center. Understand that assistant teachers, volunteers, students and parents are not to be left alone with children Keeps up to date on current Colorado Licensing Rules and Regulations and Health Department Regulations and ensures these are all being followed and enforced by the staff you supervise. Hold a current Department-approved First Aid and Safety certificate that includes CPR for all ages of children.
