DCS Corporation Requirements and Risk Manager in Sterling Heights, Michigan

This is an opportunity to provide direct support to the Department of Defense in the development of tactical ground vehicle systems.  As a DCS Corp employee-owner, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) and Program Management Office (PMO) personnel to provide engineering and project management support to DoD projects, specifically in the arena of requirements management and risk management for a tactical vehicle PMO. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the management and derivation of multidisciplinary technical requirements for a vehicle platform.  Work with stakeholders to ensure program requirements are properly derived from higher level sources and are being tracked to ensure fulfillment of the requirements through the course of development of vehicle systems. Responsible for the coordination and management of program risks on behalf of the PMO.  Work with stakeholders and risk owners to ensure that risks are properly entered into Project Recon and to ensure the risks are kept up-to-date with latest status and mitigation plans. Reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for design intent. This position is at a client site but may have an option for regular telework.  It is possible that the option for telework could be eliminated in the future, so candidates must be willing to perform this role 100% on-site if required. Work with user representatives and formal DoD requirements documents in order to determine the requirements for a system development or integration effort. Directly interface with the customer on a daily basis. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bachelor of Science degree or higher in electrical, computer or mechanical engineering plus at least 2 years of relevant experience. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance. Familiar with Systems Engineering processes. Experience with requirements definition, derivation, tracing for systems and sub-systems. Experience with using requirements tracking software. Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to vehicle system integration and development efforts. Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Customer contact and relationship management are extremely important; therefore, candidates should be personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent communicator. Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (estimated approx. 5% Travel). Desired Skills: Familiarity with DoD Risk Management processes (Hint: search for "Department of Defense Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs") Familiar with the DoD acquisition process. Experience supporting a DoD program office. Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures. Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.
