Job Overview:

As aServer, you’ll be responsible forthe forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. From daily operation of the restaurant and bar to catering and special events.​TheServerwill be responsiblefortakingorders and deliveringfood and drinks, answeringquestions regarding menu and drink selections, work closely with wait, bar staff and kitchen to ensure the restaurant is operatedefficiently.

Your Responsibilities:

• Prepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments,napkinsandutensils.
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation,safetyand alcohol beverage controlpolicies.
• Must be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparationquestions.
• Stay updated on current menu choices,specialties,and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording Residentchoices,identifying Resident special dietary needs and specialrequests.
• Serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from servicebars.
• Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring ofneeds,observing diningprocess.
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other specialneeds.
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuingbills; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip toResident.
• Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma

• At least 1 year kitchen experience

• Excellent verbal communication skillsrequired.
• Knowledgeable of proper food handling procedures
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods oftime.
• Reach with hands andarms.

• Communicate, receive,and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and writtenword.
