Google Program Manager II, Supply Chain Planning, Data Centers in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience in supply chain planning or inventory management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree with emphasis in Supply Chain Management.

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience leading cross-functional process improvements and ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization.

  • Ability to shift between detailed analysis and big picture thinking, with ability to tailor communication to different audiences.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Global Server Operations team deploys and maintains the hardware components of Google Cloud's Compute, Storage, and Network Infrastructure in our Third-Party Data Centers. The non-Google Platform team enables our product teams to test features and products on non-Google platforms in these data centers prior to releasing them to users.

In this role, you will be joining the non-Google Platform Supply Chain team. Our team procures hardware and is responsible for delivery reliability to these Third-Party Data Centers. You will help develop planning models and processes to support the business.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Serve as a Program Manager for the team's Supply Chain operational efforts and independently manage cross-functional programs through their full lifecycle.

  • Build a demand planning model for parts and services procurement.

  • Develop an inventory strategy and manage on hand inventory.

  • Develop a repairs/spares parts forecast model and strategy, and processes to manage the inventory.

  • Partner with technology teams to develop tooling to automate and scale operations.
