Robert Half Senior Accountant in Sunnyvale, California

Description We are on the search for a meticulous Sr. Accountant to join our team in Sunnyvale, California, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry. As a Sr. Accountant, your primary function will be to handle month-end close activities, support the preparation of financial statements, and assist with quarterly and annual audits. You will also have the opportunity to work with NetSuite in a public company setting.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded within the stipulated timelines.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, providing detailed and accurate financial information.

• Collaborate with the team to support quarterly and annual audit processes, ensuring all financial information is ready and available for review.

• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate data input and efficient financial operations.

• Work in a manufacturing setting, adhering to industry best practices and regulations for all accounting tasks.

• Provide support for any additional tasks or projects within the accounting department as necessary.

• Manage and maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Proactively identify and address any discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.

• Continually develop knowledge and skills in the field of accounting, staying updated with changes in relevant legislation. Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of NetSuite software

• Previous experience in a manufacturing company is essential

• Experience in a public company environment is required

• Must be proficient in month-end close activities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred

• Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Team player with the ability to work independently when necessary

• Must have a high level of integrity and dependability

• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
