Our Company

SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify areas where cost saving can be achieved through drug interchange while ensuring patient safety.

• Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.

• Perform medication review to ensure appropriate use and identify cost saving interventions.

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.

• Efficiently communicating with Nursing homes and physicians via, phone, fax and email for therapeutic interchange recommendations, and high-cost orders clarifications.

• Clinical skills needed: medical history, therapies and laboratory data, etc.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports for dispensed high-cost medication and keep track of potential savings.

• Having a desire to get more knowledge about different pharmacy aspects.

• Complete any other task assigned by the Cost Containment

  Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida

• Long Term Care experience preferred

• Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills

• Microsoft Excel knowledge skills

• Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus

  Shift:

• Part Time: 4:00pm – 9:00pm, Mondays - Fridays with occasional weekends
