May Shaw Health Centre Finance Assistant in Swansea, Australia

To provide finance assistance to the Chief Financial Officer and Finance Coordinator.

The employee is required to set and mutually agree priorities and monitor workflow in the areas of responsibility, has the authority to exercise a degree of autonomy within the key responsibilities and duties.

Any issues falling outside these areas are to be referred to the employee's manager.

Role Accountabilities

  1. Assisting with processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  2. Assist with the improvement of financial procedures including introducing efficiencies and streamline processes.

  3. Assisting Executive and Coordinators with financial questions and escalate when appropriate.

  4. Be highly responsible for Light Year software, including but not limited to assisting managers, reconciliation of supplier statements, exports to Inerva, coding of invoices etc.

  5. Communicate with Stakeholders i.e. suppliers, clients, staff members; regarding discrepancies or errors identified

  6. Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations by processing daily transactions, ensuring accuracy.

  7. Processing of invoices to internal and external clients.

  8. Assistance and backup for the processing of payroll.

  9. Responsible for the management of the Accounts email function, ensuring prompt attendance to all correspondence.

  10. Assist administration staff with finance related tasks.

  11. Participation in financial audits as directed by CFO

  12. Maintaining accurate financial records

  13. Track and resolve finance discrepancies as required

  14. Accurate processing of Centrelink receipts.

  15. All other reasonable tasks upon request
