Sanofi Group MES Specialist in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

MES Specialist - Swiftwater, PA

L1-2 (due to being sitewide and multisystem role)


This position is within the Manufacturing Excellence group and supports the Swiftwater Site primarily through digital transformation of its shop floor systems. The configuring, troubleshooting, documenting, validating and supporting the current Manufacturing Execution System(s) (MES) in use at the Swiftwater Site will be the primary responsibility for this candidate. The candidate will work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and various other support groups to determine design, modeling, and script requirements. The candidate will become proficient in the current MES system(s) and be able to create, test and manage electronic forms, logbooks and batch records.

  • Must be able to identify interdepartmental process improvements and working cross-functionally to-implement them.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment managing multiple priorities (either independently or as part of a team) to meet key deadlines and communicate issues and progress across all levels of organization

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to provide progress and updates across multiple levels and groups of the organization and regulatory agencies.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field demonstrating logical, critical thinking such as Engineering, Math, Finance, Economics, Science, Information Business solutions – or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to work extended and flexible hours (including weekends), when needed, to support production schedules and deployments.


  • Knowledge of basic cGMP and regulatory guidelines.

  • Knowledge of Siemens OpCenter and/or EIS OpsTrakker MES Tools

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques, change management techniques and problem-solving skills.

  • Work Experience: 1-3 years in a software configuration or development role such as master data management, web development, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Other relevant work experience could include project management, spreadsheet development, or software testing. Direct experience with process modeling in any MES system (Werum PASX, Emerson Syncade, Siemens OpCenter, EIS OpsTrakker, etc.).

  • Software Experience: Demonstrate a command of Microsoft Office tools of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and Project. Experience in any modern programming language (JavaScript, Python, VBScript, etc.) or HTML coding. Should be comfortable with web browsers and iPad-based native applications.
