Our Northeast Engineer Design Organization is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Building Mechanical group! This position will be based in Syracuse, NY.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Application of various ASHRAE standards and Building codes in the design of heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems
  • Perform design calculations, size HVAC equipment, size ducts, design plumbing systems, and work with CAD designers to prepare design drawings for municipal, federal or industrial facilities.
  • Develop specifications for procurement of heating units, air conditioning equipment, plumbing fixtures and piping systems, and ventilation systems
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • EIT preferred with intent to pursue Professional Engineering license
  • 0-3 years of experience; internship experience considered a plus
  • Must possess strong design skills in thermodynamics and dynamics of rotating equipment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience working with Revit is a plus
  • Ability to travel and work in the field as needed (may include overnight travel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to devise approaches to problem resolution
  • Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the task involved

Salary Range: $69,000-$71,000 based on experience.
