SUNY Upstate Medical University Instructional Support Assistant in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

Provides assistance in performing laboratory testing. Provides assistance with reporting of testing results, acquiring insurance authorizations, supply inventory, patient questions and all customer service related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Science or related field (Biology/Chemistry) or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Ability to distinguish colors required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with molecular methods and techniques. Good communication and people skills. Ability to work and make decisions in stressful situations. Able to use computer applications. Working knowledge of laboratory theory/disease processes and automation.

Excellent customer service/people skills.

Work Days:

Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
