Minimum Starting Salary: $1,200.00 Bi-Weekly (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion into the position will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher).

Duties and Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the final approval of MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) payments of invoices, audit of invoices and purchase orders.

Review and processing of electronic invoices submitted from a vendor through MFMP. Perform audit on invoice in MFMP to ensure compliance with all applicable statutes and departmental policies and procedures. Assures the payment is in compliance with Florida Statutes as well as departmental policies and procedures. This includes checking invoice information against purchase order, receiving report and/or other supporting documentation. These type invoices are to be approved within 5 business days of being received in MFMP.

Responsible for daily review and processing of electronic invoices entered by vendors and regional staff for all purchase orders. Review paper invoice received and compare to information input in MFMP to ensure payment is complete and accurate. Assures that payment is in compliance with Florida Statutes as well as departmental policies and procedures. This includes checking invoice information against purchase order, receiving report and/or other supporting documentation. Update record or attachments in MFMP as necessary. Coordinate with regional staff when necessary to complete payment approval in MFMP. Invoices are to be reviewed and approved in MFMP within 5 business days of receipt in Finance & Accounting.


Knowledge of collection principles and practices, of Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system, of accounting principles, practices and procedures;

Ability to work independently, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, to read, understand and follow approved policies and procedures, to create and maintain computerized spreadsheets and reports,

To analyze and interpret accounting data, to compile, analyze, balance and reconcile a variety of financial reports, to review financial data for accuracy and completeness, provide and explain technical information to others.

Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
