Working Title: Mental Health Informatics Analyst

This advertisement is for a Career Service position located in Central Office, Office of Health Services / Mental Health Services.

Salary Rate: $68,497.00 Annually

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Mental Health Analyst serves a primary function on the Mental Health Informatics Team with a focus on compliance to mental health policies. This individual is responsible for analyzing data collected from legacy systems and the EMR (Electronic Medical Record system) utilizing data modeling and visualization to find patterns, establish trends, and present models of outcomes to produce reports and presentations to explain the data to stakeholders from across FDC, Office of Health Service contractors, and other governmental agencies. This individual should have substantial experience building Qlik sense dashboards (writing scripts utilizing a Qlik Sense specific programming language) to create visualizations of data for end users. Under the guidance of the SIPS Supervisor this individual will consult with staff members to provide consultation and develop solutions to programmatic operational problems, as well as developing and monitoring metrics to assist in analysis and amelioration of identified concerns. Being able to produce ad hoc reports in Qlik Sense and/or Excel under tight deadlines for leadership is an essential function. This is an in-office position and requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    This is a highly responsible position which requires the successful applicant to have experience programming informatics dashboards, as such an informatics work sample is being requested. The knowledge, skills and abilities are necessary andmust be highlightedin your resume:

    Essential:

  • Proven ability to build apps through writing scripts in Qlik Sense to:

  • Create monitoring metrics and produce interactive, user-friendly graphs and reports.

  • Export data to Excel spreadsheets

  • Import data from SQL databases and Excel spreadsheets

  • Use data modeling and visualizations to provide projective reports.

  • Proven ability to organize data into logical format for reports, technical documents, and other written or visual materials.

  • Proven ability to create complex Excel formulas including multi-sheet macros and pivot tables.

  • Proven ability to effectively utilize methods of data collection and analysis to evaluate proposed and existing operational and monitoring practices, develop alternative recommendations if needed, solve problems, and document workflow.

  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

  • Experience speaking to a diverse audience in person, within a group, or via electronic format.

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments

    Desirable:

  • Experience working with an Electronic Medical Records system creating queries to locate documentation or building forms.

  • Knowledge of programming in HTML and/or Java.

  • Knowledge of psychological principles.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in Health Informatics, or Business Informatics, or Mental Health Counseling from an educational institution accredited by an accrediting agency or state approval agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
