Our client, with the State of Florida is seeking a Temporary Grant Financial Specialist to join their team. As a Financial Specialist, you will be part of the Public Assistance Grant Section supporting with the federally declared disaster event closeout project. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of grant/contract mananagement, project closeouts and payment processing which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary Financial Specialist -Grants & Contracts

Location: Tallahassee, FL (In office-32399)

Pay Range: $25 hourly

What’s the Job?

  • Assist cost managers with grant closeout activities for federally declared disaster event closeout projects.

  • Reconcile expenditures, quarterly reports, and insurance reviews.

  • Analyze and compare data for accuracy

  • Provide technical, fiscal, and grant management assistance to the division.

  • Perform other clerical/admin duties as assigned.

What’s Needed?

  • Knowledge of basic accounting and auditing principles and procedures.

  • Manage all aspects of contract/grant management, including preparation of funding agreements

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret contract/grant programmatic and financial data.

  • Knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Grant Programs or Disaster Management.

  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other database/spreadsheet software.

  • Weekly pay with direct deposit option

  • Work Monday - Friday 8AM -5PM

  • Temporary role through 06/30/2024 with possible extensions
