Team/Role Overview

The Global Platform & Data Services (PDS) Legal team is made up of a team of lawyers supporting the Global PDS and Global Cash Services business based across the world. The team is based in Tampa, New York, Belfast and India.

Reporting to the Legal Senior Group Manager supporting PDS, this intermediate level role will provide global legal coverage of the PDS product areas, including new product development initiatives, providing advice on laws and regulations impacting the products, and drafting product service agreements. The role will involve interaction with stakeholders across Citi’s global network, including product managers, country counsel, risk and compliance stakeholders.

Platform & Data Services (PDS), which provides clients with dynamic information, platforms, tools and APIs (application programming interfaces) to effectively manage their portfolios, financial positions, working capital and supply chains, is one of the key organizations within Trade and Trade Solutions (TTS).

TTS, which sits within Citi’s Services Business, is a leading provider of integrated cash management and trade services to multinational corporations, financial institutions, and public sector organizations around the world. Over the years, Citi has been leading innovation in the transaction banking space by developing best-in-class digital capabilities for our clients across various industry segments.

What you’ll do

  • Providing product legal support to the PDS and Cash Services businesses.

  • Advising the PDS business in relation to new product offerings and country expansions, including drafting of new product service agreements.

  • Advising the business on Citi policy matters.

  • Instructing external lawyers and acting as liaison between external advisers and the business.

  • Negotiation of product documentation in relation to non-standard transactions/negotiations for the above product areas.

  • Coordinating multi-jurisdictional transactions.

  • Review of information provided by foreign legal counsel in relation to new products and the expansion of the business.

  • Advising on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Global PDS business.

What we’ll need from you

  • Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree required.

  • Experience gained in private practice or in an in-house legal department.

  • Experience in general corporate banking and/or corporate legal work involving advisory work and transactions.

  • Experience negotiating commercial/banking/finance related contracts is helpful but not required.

$109,440.00 - $164,160.00
