This role is a senior level executive role responsible for creating, leading and managing the strategy for the Business, Functions & Technology (BFT) Information Security Office (ISO). The strategy is all encompassing, covering the alignment with business strategy, the BFT ISO organization strategy, product strategy, agile strategy, client strategy and many other areas. In addition the role is charged to create, lead and run a service management and delivery function for BFT ISO to its customers, and to integrate and partner with other CISO service management functions. Lastly, the role will lead strategic change initiatives from the CISO and in support of the business and CIO organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the next BFT ISO strategy with a customer centric mindset focused on value creation for stakeholders

  • Lead and influence the execution of the strategy across the organization

  • Integrate the strategy with other strategies, including the Citi client strategy, business strategies, CISO strategy, technology strategy, product strategy and significant transformations such as agile and digital delivery

  • Lead complex strategic change initiatives on behalf of the BFT CISO, representing the BFT Leadership team, across Citi

  • Create and deliver a service management strategy and function for BFT ISO, integrating with other CISO service management organizations

  • Lead through influence to improve security, culture, organization effectiveness and agile teaming / decision making

  • Establish relationships with cross-functional areas including Business, Technology, and Compliance stakeholders and serve as a SECURITY subject-matter expert

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Information Security experience with 5+ years Financial Services industry experience preferred, however knowledge of highly regulated industries critical

  • Strong understanding of Information security domains such as Identity access management, Cryptography, Data protection, Vulnerability Assessment, Audit Logging/Monitoring, etc.

  • Good understanding of IT Security frameworks such as NIST SP-800, ISO 27001, CRI

  • Strong inter personnel skills and ability to influence outcomes in the collaborative environment, with an understanding of matrix management organizations

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and creative problem solving skills

  • Extremely strong communication skills interacting with senior technology and business management, with strong executive presence

  • Demonstrated experience with large scale transformation, organization design and effectiveness and service delivery

  • Exceptional leadership skills, strong cultural behaviors and a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
