Our System Architecture team helps build customisable specific system solutions that enhance PwC’s system capabilities to appropriately serve all client needs. As part of the team, you’ll use enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map PwC capabilities to business needs outlined by clients.

The Application Monitoring Analytics Engineer is responsible for developing monitoring dashboards, supporting delivery team members. Partnering with our infrastructure and operations teams and helping integrate PwC’s monitoring tools into a delivery team’s paved path to PROD, ultimately delivering a monitoring/observability-as-code capability. Troubleshooting and monitoring issues that require adept knowledge of DataDog, development languages and frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes.

6 year(s) 6 years of experience in progressive IT roles focused on performance/observability of applications and infrastructure.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas:

  • Having experience in administering Application Performance Monitoring tools with a preference towards “DataDog” experience;

  • Using DevOps tools like Jenkins & AZDO: validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments of code and technologies in stage and production environments;

  • Demonstrating communication skills and the ability to drive continuous performance improvements within a team and with stakeholders;

  • Ensuring a stable, reliable secure and high performing platform;

  • Building, maintaining and controlling stage and production environments;

  • Troubleshooting incidents in stage and production environments;

  • Being proactive in monitoring and alerting capabilities exist for all components of the platform;

  • Ensuring system health and capacity is reviewed and enhanced as needed;

  • Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and performing knowledge transfer to others;

  • Demonstrating fluency in at least one development language such as Java, Python, or .NET languages);

  • Demonstrating knowledge of managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments;

  • Demonstrating knowledge of at least one container technology such as Azure Kubernetes, Docker and one database technology such as. MySQL, MS-SQL, or Postgresql;

  • Working with code repository tooling such as Github;

  • Possessing knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments;

  • Demonstrating Linux and Windows administration experience; and,

  • Possessing experience in configuration management across a multi-platform estate through joint development of configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible.
