JPMorgan Chase Vendor Management-Finance & Business Management- Senior Associate in Tampa, Florida

The Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Vendor Management Team (VMO) is responsible for scoping and driving the vendor management strategy and executing vendor engagement process and controls across multiple Lines of Business and Strategic Initiatives. Our Mission includes:

  • Ensuring that CIB achieves the most optimal commercial and quality delivery from our vendors (Labor/Consultants and Software/Hardware)

  • Managing and executing vendor related processes, including evaluations, selection, contracting, approvals, on-boarding, invoicing, and related reporting.

  • Collaborating with LOB stakeholders, including Front Office business teams, Tech/Ops/Product teams, Finance & Business Management (F&BM), Sourcing, TPO/SOS (Supplier Oversite Services), Global Technology, and Vendor Management teams within other Lines of Business (Consumer & Community Bank, Asset Wealth Management, Global Technology, and other Global units)

  • Fostering efficiency and continuous process improvement across vendor management space through innovating process enhancements for onboarding new suppliers, reducing vendor fees with insightful negotiations, and effective teamwork with internal partners.

  • Maintaining a strong control posture relative to vendor exposure and risk (both contractual and operational)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support day to day Stakeholder & Vendor relationships and Vendor Governance / Cost and Risk Controls (example: liaison with Front Office and AI Research team leaders to understand pipeline & vendor requirements, resource planning and financial impact, and provide ad-hoc analysis / reporting as requested)

  • Support contract reviews and renewals, partnering with Sourcing to ensure that all documentation is up to date and progressing through process and approvals within Ariba and/or Beeline systems.

  • Front Line leadership in ensuring Third Party Oversight (TPO) controls and policies are in place and documented in COMPASS (the TPO system of record), contracting policies are in line with JPMC Legal requirements, vendor activities are following approved cyber and data security controls, and ensuring payments are approved withing Finance policies and budgets.

  • Direct interaction with new suppliers to communicate contracting and onboarding requirements and provide information support where needed to resolve any blockers in suppliers meeting their required tasks for resource on-boarding process.

  • Execute Purchase Orders (PO) / Invoice Processing, including PO initiation and Invoice data validation, accruals data provision & estimates, and invoice tracking.

  • Support contract execution by writing up concise Executive level summaries, synthesizing information from Source Systems (COMPASS, Ariba, Beeline, etc...) and reviews with Delivery teams

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Proven successful experience in Business Management or Vendor Management within a large financial institution

  • Some experience and base level knowledge of Tech, Ops or Product organizations within Financial Services industry, working with 3rd party vendors

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and some experience with Ariba and/or Beeline systems

  • Ability to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and strong client management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail oriented, with ability to complete reporting & analytics accurately, timely, and in a presentable manner

  • Self-motivated, going beyond immediate responsibilities, with ability to work independently as well as be a team player

  • Experience working in global teams across multiple regions, enabling a 'one team' culture and a positive working environment, while respecting cultures and capabilities across all locations
