The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

As a Solutions Architect focused on SAP within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Amazon's web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, and Amazon EBS) across the global SAP customer and partner base. The emphasis being on working directly with customers to develop cloud migration and/or adoption strategies as it relates to their business critical SAP systems.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in both SAP products and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills that will enable you to represent AWS well, not only to customers but to the broader SAP community including SAP, developers, & architects. The ideal candidate should also have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities

As a key member of the AWS Business Development team working to ensure SAP customer success on the AWS platform, you will act as an Amazon ambassador in customer engagements as well as key efforts directly with SAP partners.

This includes:

• Collaborate with the global AWS SAP Account team on customer opportunities.

• Contribute to AWS’ strategy and understanding of the SAP Market.

• Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful partner engagements

• Assist system integrators in building offerings and technical strategies that will enable them to build and sell their offering on the AWS platform.

• Coach and train System Integrators on an ongoing basis to adopt AWS innovations for SAP workloads

• Assist System Integrators in pursuits and enable them to win the business independently.

• As a member of the AWS Solution Architect team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our systems integrators for SAP on AWS.

• Assist SAP partners in sizing and designing solutions in customer opportunities.

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing SAP solutions on AWS with the SAP Developer, SAP end user and AWS communities.

Basic Qualifications

• Extensive experience of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries and demonstrate an understanding of SAP applications, server technology, and network security.

• Broad knowledge of the entire SAP platform stack, specifically NetWeaver, Quicksizer SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and their architecture and infrastructure needs.

• Experience and deep knowledge of SAP system migration or upgrades.

• Experience with SAP’s DW (SAP BW) & (Process Integrations) PI

• Extensive experience in a customer facing role

• BA/BS degree required

Preferred Qualifications

• • Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Math- a plus

• • IDF ATAL SAP graduates – A plus

• • Experience working with end user or developer’s communities.

• • Experience with Data Lifecycle projects (Ingestion to Insight) integrating multi data sources

• • Experience with helping customers implement SAP integration scenarios through SAP Cloud Platform or other cloud services a plus.

• • Ability to contribute to complex software development projects

• • Previous experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting SAP solutions on AWS a plus.

• • Either experience working for SAP or with SAP in a development/customer support role.

• • Past experience writing and publishing technical whitepapers desirable.
