Google Staff Software Engineer, Mainframe Modernization, Google Cloud in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • Typically 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience designing and architecting modern enterprise production systems for enterprise customers.

  • Experience working with cloud services and solutions, designing enterprise production systems running on these systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience managing people (e.g., hiring, growth, etc.).

  • Experience with OS internals (e.g., Linux, Windows), Java frameworks, networks, on-premises and cloud technologies (e.g., VMware, public clouds).

  • Experience and passion for data analytics.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

  • Lead products used by Google Cloud's customers for modernization of their business critical applications including technical, program, and product aspects with significant direct technical contribution.

  • Manage a small team and work with other local and remote teams to develop those products.

  • Build outlook, roadmap, and planning for the domain and collaborate with different teams and roles to drive it.

  • Work closely with customers/partners all around the world to understand requirements and to support their usage of our products.
