About you and this role

Do you have a passion to deliver innovative solutions for complex scientific problems?

We are looking for you, an ambitious student (m/f), currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree, who is interested in an internship opportunity in Analytical Science at our core R&D department within the project: LC-MS wastewater permit.

Dow is offering great career opportunities in a global and international environment.

Responsibilities

For regulatory reasons, various wastewater streams are investigated for possible pollutants, which can originate from raw materials, products, additives and more used in the production process. This analysis is required to renew the wastewater permit of the Dow Terneuzen site. In the proposed project, a quantitative UHPLC-QTOF-MS method shall be further optimized. For this purpose, we will focus on different MS sources to broaden the range of investigated analytes. The student will work on a state-of-the-art LC-MS set-up, where they will be able to develop and apply experimental protocols, communicate results in project meetings and reports, and acquire practical knowledge on the instrumentation

You will work in a diverse and inclusive environment in one of the Dow Analytical Sciences labs. Working in our lab, provides you with an opportunity to directly impact the sustainability footprint and efficiency of many of our production processes and the development of new products for our company.
