Bright Horizons Human Resources Business Partner I- Remote role for OK, TX and LA in Texas, Texas

Due to the territory this role supports, this remote role is targeted toward someone living in Oklahoma, Texas or Louisiana.

Primary Purpose Serve as a strategic business partner to organizational leadership and employees. Provide expertise with employee relations matters, performance and talent management, and compliance with company policy and employment laws to support business operations and strategic goals. Collaborate with other departments to guide organizational leaders in the areas of employee engagement, diversity/inclusion programs, compensation administration and general troubleshooting.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Ensure that all Bright Horizons’ policies and procedures are followed and that employees are treated fairly in line with policies and company HEART Principles. Follow up with urgency to ensure employee relations issues are resolved promptly.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

  • Establish a collaborative working relationship with business leaders in assigned business units and across organization. Provide expert advice and training in maintaining a proactive approach towards potential employee relations issues. Be present and visible in assigned worksites to build relationships with leaders and employees. Act as a resource to managers in implementing and maintaining positive work environments.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. Review relevant data with assigned business leaders to develop and implement strategies focused on engagement and retention, and monitor progress and success of these strategies.

  • Guide operational leadership in the area of diversity and inclusion in collaboration with DEI team. Support awareness training objectives, company goals, and inclusive employment practices. In collaboration with other COEs within the HR organization provide guidance in administration of HR practices as well as leverage COEs to support the objective and goals of business units.

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.

  • Ensure fair and equitable practices with employees including compliance with company policies and local, state and federal legal standards. Respond to employee complaints and inquiries with urgency.

  • Complete other projects for the human resources department as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • Multi- site service industry preferred.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.

  • Problem solving, diplomacy and good judgment in considering the impact of decisions is essential.

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Knowledge of HRIS preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues with five years of HRBP overall experience.

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

This role will not pay more than $80K yearly base and is eligible for a target 5% annual performance bonus.
