Description An opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk at a a company in the Service field has opened up. This position is offered through Robert Half. The Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Service industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Thornton, Colorado area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. This department offers prospects of career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities

• Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

• Perform special projects as assigned

• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

• Perform full-cycle A/P

• Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

• Provide support to internal business partners

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required Requirements - Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Coding Invoices experience

• Microsoft Excel experience

• Sales tax experience required

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
