Job Title: Lead A&P Mechanic

Job Description

Our client at the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport is currently looking for a Lead A&P Mechanic who is willing to move into the Director of Maintenance (DOM) role by January 2025. The organization is a general aviation (GA) shop and a Part 135 operator that focuses on King Air, Piper, and Cessna models.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and inspections on King Air, Piper, and Cessna aircraft models.

  • Conduct 100-hour inspections and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Lead and supervise a team of mechanics, providing guidance and support.

  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.

  • Be available for overtime as required to meet operational needs.

Essential Skills

  • A&P License

  • 5-10+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic, preferably from a GA or P135 Charter.

  • Experience with 100-hour inspections

  • Possession of own tools

  • Willingness to work overtime

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred

  • Experience with heavy maintenance, aircraft maintenance, and phase maintenance

  • Familiarity with various aircraft models including Challenger, Jet, Falcon Jet, Gulfstream, Honda Jet, and Cessna

Work Environment

You will be working in a hangar environment and occasionally on the ramp for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
