We seek an experienced, motivated Learning and Development Coach for this newly created role with Amazon. You will be responsible for facilitating remote and in-person learning experiences and supporting leader development across World Wide Operations (WWOPs). You will partner with Program Managers, Learning Business Partners and Operations stakeholders to execute holistic solutions considering both an optimal learning experience and business needs.

Consultation, Solution Implementation, & Delivery: The L&D Coach cultivates partnerships with participants and stakeholders to gather information and data to make necessary changes to evolve and improve the Instructor-Led-Training (ILT) and Virtual-Instructor-Led-Training (VILT) experience.

Measuring Learning Impact: The L&D Coach will work backwards through the needs of the learner with a scientific approach using adult learning theory in the delivery, develop, and evaluate phases of program life-cycles. In developing learning solutions, you will plan for the unexpected and proactively manage risks while ensuring success metrics are in place for measuring projects and survey engagement feedback.

Key job responsibilities

Deliver instructor-led trainings (in-person and remote) programs. Must be able to facilitate high quality learner-focused programs which have informative content and engaging learning techniques and environment.

Upskill, train, coach, and provide feedback to business presenters to ensure that these colleagues can deliver the same high quality training so that customers receive the appropriate learning outcomes.

Partner with key customers and stakeholders (Program Managers, Learning Business Partners, and Operations leaders) in order to assess, understand, and provide support towards a number of different leadership development training programs.

Identify, scope, and deliver individual and team-based projects to better suit the changing needs of the business and our customers.

Develop, analyze, and interpret data, feedback, and results of training to assess level of competency gained in order to provide and communicate updates to stakeholders in addition to developing training sessions and products through continuous improvement.

Develop products and solutions through independent and collaborative projects in order to address the fast-paced and dynamic needs of the business.

Candidate must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time.

A day in the life

Approximately, 75% of the time would be spent in facilitation of various programs. 25% of the time would be spent on Project Management and Stakeholder Management.

We are development experts dedicated to the engagement, growth, and retention of our leaders. Our global approach to coaching and facilitation provides the knowledge, tools and techniques to better lead their teams.

Basic Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree.

5+ years experience in classroom (in-person and/or remote) facilitation, with excellent facilitation and communication skills (oral, written, and body language), and interpersonal skills to comfortably and confidently present to large audiences.

5+ years experience formulating and implementing training/performance improvement strategies, methodologies, and procedures for standardization and delivery throughout a large organization.

5+ years experience and ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues quickly to preserve the learning experience.

Strong analytical skills and experience using data to make business decisions and manage training efforts.

Business English and Japanese (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business, education, instructional design, or organizational development.

Master’s degree in Business, Education, Organizational Development or Instructional Design is preferred.

Operational experience, either inside or outside Amazon.

Experience with learning management systems (KNet, Thinking Cap) or other online remote learning platforms.

Program and project management skills.
