Description:
The Transportation/Logistics Lead is accountable for managing the carriers and brokers for US land transport & customer shipments to deliver best-in-class service in a cost-effective manner.
Manage the freight spend and coordinates deliveries across all outbound locations and all lanes.
Partner with Procurement to establish the transportation management strategy.
RFP steering committee team member for the annual procurement transportation bid process.
Lead and support analysis of complex logistics opportunities and provide recommendations to the ISC Leadership team that will be instrumental in the formation of supply chain strategies, cost savings, and continuous improvement efforts.
Interface with customer service, sales, warehouse network, supply chain and procurement.
Skills:
RFQ, Carrier Bid Process, Carrier Scorecard, TMS, Cost Savings
Qualifications:
has experience managing a logistics/transportation team
3-5+ years of Carrier bid process experience, carrier scorecards, and RFQs
TMS experience
Nice to haves:
APICS cert is preferred
Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics
