Contributes to the overall success of the Learning Operations / Learning Solutions / GHR Services globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

  • Serves as first point of contact between employees and various learning teams and business partners to solve employee’s cases received through ASKHR & keeps up to date on learning processes and policy to ensure employee cases are addressed accurately.

  • Pulls case management case reports, identifies trends to find root causes and proposes approach to management to minimize inquiries

  • Seeks opportunities to collaborate within and beyond one’s own department building an internal network to advance Learning Operation’s goals.

  • Advises Learning COE teams and Operations peers of areas of opportunity and proposes solutions to keep integrity of the LMS content.

  • Possess deep knowledge of learning programs and a high degree of proficiency working with the (LMS) Learning Management System and the Case management system.

  • Configurates learning items in me@sb, sets up programs and curriculum following established standards.

  • Understands Learning Operations processes and governance to resolve learning inquiries and issues raised by employees.

  • Supports the lifecycle of the Global Mandatory Learning Programs by solving, escalating and directing inquiries from employees

  • Helps maintain the HR Service Matrix to ensure ASKHR triage process is efficient

  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in a technology related area

  • Previous experience in learning management system administration and technical support

  • Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity

  • Strong skills in supporting and troubleshooting online technology

  • High proficiency with MS Office Suites, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Experience with SuccessFactors or other major LMS application is considered an asset

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent organization and process definition/management skills

  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks, functions and changing priorities French and Spanish language skills are considered an asset
