This role requires a blend of data analytics skills and some data engineering expertise to help accelerate the migration of our existing reporting and processes from SAS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on BigQuery and notebooks. The ideal candidate will have strong ability to understand and interpret data, ensuring that the rewritten processes yield the same results after migration.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Rewriting existing SAS-based data analytics reports and processes in GCP BigQuery and Notebook.

• Identify the appropriate data tables in GCP to replace the existing Enterprise Data Lake structures.

• Validate and ensure that the migrated reports generate the same results as the original SAS outputs.

• Analyze complex datasets to extract insights and trends, translating them into actionable business intelligence and insights.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other Data Scientists to ensure that the data and logic used in the reports align with business objectives.

• Document the new processes and provide guidelines for future references.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:

• 5+ years of work experience in loyalty rewards, business or finance, with people management experience

• Graduate or undergraduate degree in quantitative discipline such as management analytics, statistics, mathematics, operations research, economics computer science, or engineering

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with large datasets, both structured and unstructured data, using programming language such as SAS, SQL or related.

• Working Knowledge of Hadoop, Big Data, Data Lake and experience in Python, R would be an asset

• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills

• Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

• Excellent analytical, logical, and organizational skills; a drive to understand the relationships between data and activities, draw conclusions and use critical thinking to validate
